4WD Electric Scooter -  Everyone should be able to enjoy the sugar sands and pristine gulf waters of Clearwater Beach.

We will soon have five electric scooters available for those with mobility issues.

These scooters are in very high demand. As a result we would highly recommend you reserve one in advance of your visit. Di

ue to the high demand, ALL reservations require a $150 non-refundable deposit which in applied to the rental fee upon checking in to pick up your scooter.

PLEASE DO NOT ATTEMPT to try and push a standard wheel chair thru the sand. You will get stuck and require assistance to get back to the beach walk.

The soft sugar sands of Clearwater Beach are magnificent. However they are impossible to navigate in a wheel chair or walker. With that in mind and knowing that we receive many  mobile impaired visitors every year, we are doing our best to acquire two or more 4WD wheelchairs to navigate the beach all the way to the waters of the Gulf if Mexico.

We will also attempt to purchase two or more  handicapped accessible beach golf carts to transport the handicapped and elderly to any location on the beach as well as back to their vehicle. Our cart drivers will be available by cell phone or text. The transport driver will also mark their location with GPS for pick up when and if appropriate.

We will attempt to apply for a grant or loan to build the handicapped cart fleet. We may also consider opening a GoFundMe account to accept donations to purchase the beach wheel chairs nd handicapped transport carts.

These 4WD mobility chairs are costly ($6000 to $15,000 each) and can be rented for $200 per day (8 hours) or $350 (24 hours) plus a $1000 refundable security deposit minus a $100 cleaning fee upon being returned. Each chair has a GPS tracking device.

Chairs cannot be taken off the island without prior approval. Chairs must be returned to the Beach Mobility facility upon contract completion unless extended.
