Our primary mission is to
assist visitors, promote local businesses, patrol for litter and graffiti, help with minor car issues, and support eco-projects like "Project Clean Beach." The project is in development and plans to rely on donations and volunteers using golf carts to patrol the beach.

I arrived in Clearwater Beach in January 2009 and immediately fell in love with what was then a small beach community.
It's now 16 years later and what was once a small beach community is now a bustling beach community consistently rated as one of the top beaches in the USA by several internationally recognized travel magazines. And on many occassions rated the #1 beach in the USA.
Unfortunately with growth comes additional issues.
One of my goals is to help keep the pristine beauty of Clearwater Beach intact. Unfortunately I see more and more beach litter on a daily basis which breaks my heart and makes me angry as well. But, as the old saying goes, every problem has a solution.
Introducing the Clearwater Beach C.O.P.S. project (Citizens on Patrol Services).
The purpose of this new service which is currently in the development stages is to help keep Clearwater Beach pristine, clean, and safe. And just as important, help promote local beach merchants, businesses and the beach community. A win, win, win scenario!

OUR MISSION :
- A concierge service for Clearwater Beach located near Pier 60
- Help promote local businesses
- Help the city monitor and patrol the beach to identify and resolve any issues such as litter, overflowing trash receptacles, graffiti, pot holes, etc.
- Help visitors navigate the beach community
- Answer visitor questions
- Provide complimentary transport assistance to the handicapped and elderly
- Assist visitors with simple automotive issues (flat tire, dead battery, locked out, etc)
- Pick up excessive litter and notify the city of overflowing trash receptacles
- Identify graffiti to be removed
- Promote and coordinate "Project Clean Beach" on a weekly basis
- Promote Clearwater Beach USA C.O.P.S. & local beach businesses

It's not going to be an easy task, but I believe it will be a very worthwhile venture. Our biggest obstacle will be securing the equipment we need to operate.
As such I anticipate asking for financial donations as well as equipment donations from various businesses and other funding sources.
With regards to staffing, I am optimistic that we can acquire volunteers to staff our "Beach Patrol" which will patrol both North and South beach using one of two, two passenger golf carts.
