Introducing Clearwater Beach USA C.O.P.S.

Our mission is simple....

"Helping to keep Clearwater Beach pristine and clean, graffiti free and safe while also assisting visitors and promoting local beach merchants and businesses"

Keeping the beautiful beach community of Clearwater Beach pristine is not an easy task. Although the city of Clearwater does an amazing and exceptional job it's a huge undertaking!

Stretching roughly three miles long and three blocks wide, Clearwater Beach draws about four million visitors a year, thats a lot of people!

The Tampa Bay Times dubbed Clearwater Beach "the Disney World of beaches" one of the top tourist destinations along the Florida Gulf Coast.

With thousands of visitors daily, depending on the season, keeping the beach and beach community litter free and graffiti free is a big undertaking which for the most part is taken care of by the city of Clearwater.

As you can imagine taking care of a three mile long and three block wide area of pristine sugar sand is a tremendous effort.

However, its absolutely essential in order to maintain the ranking as the USA's top beach destination with many international travel magazines and social media sites.

That being said, our vision for Clearwater Beach USA C.O.P.S. 2024 and beyond is to work with the city of Clearwater, its officials, police and the beach community to help keep our beautiful beach community clean, grafitti free, and safe from potential hazards.

From picking up litter on the beach and city streets (Project Clean Beach) to identifying graffiti for removal. We will also help promote local beach merchants and help visitors, the handicapped, and the elderly navigate Clearwater Beach and experience our gorgeous beach community.

Our managment, volunteers and staff will work with the city to be there to make this happen.

And just as important our Clearwater Beach Ambassadors (volunteers) we'llalso help promote local beach merchants and businesses using digital media and the ClearwaterBeachUSA.info mobile app and website.

Clearwater Beach USA Beach Ambassadors 

Our Beach Ambassadors (volunteers) will also help visitors with questions they may have about Clearwater Beach. Simply visit ClearwaterBeachUSA.info and get direct "chat" access to our Beach Ambassadors during our operating hours.

Our Beach Ambassadors will also help us promote our Facebook Group, "Clearwater Beach USA" by taking photos and videos of various beach activities to help promote beach merchants.

We will also be using HD Video Drones for spectacular aerial videos of Clearwater Beach and the surrounding area.These photos and videos will be posted on the Clearwater Beach USA FB group site and the ClearwaterBeachUSA.info website.

Our funding for the Clearwater Beach USA C.O.P.S. project will come from private and business sponsorships. We may also seek grants from various funding sources to help support the operation.

We will also attempt to generate income to support the C.O.P.S. project by helping local merchants advertise and promote their businesses to local visitors and tourists for a fee in our Clearwater Beach USA "Digital Insider" Monthly Newsletter.

We plan to have a tent located near Pier 60 to promote Clearwater Beach USA and help fund our ongoing operation.

We will initially use volunteers to operate the organization with hopes of eventually paying these volunteers a minimum wage for hours worked.

Hours of operation are from 11 am until sunset 7 days a week

We will use donations to pay operating costs as well as promote local businesses thru our website ClearwaterBeachUSA.info and advertising via digital media and promotional products.

We may also seek local government funding to help us pay for operational costs.

Work with Walmart and Publics to supply bottled water and flavoring in exchange for FREE advertising.

Patroling from the Sandkey bridge North to the Ship Wreck

Our services and equipment needs will include...

*Used RV to provide rest, AC and beverages to our volunteers.

*Large vinyl banner for the side of the RV (Clearwater Beach USA C.O.P.S.)

*Four 4-6 seat golf carts (2 South beach, 2 North beach) and 1 cart for promotional staff. Two volunteers per vehicle plus two promotional staff in a separate cart.

*Patroling and monitoring the beach community

*Collecting & disposing litter

*Identifying graffiti for removal

*Providing information to tourists

*Transporting wheel chair bound individuals to the beach and back

*Shuttle handicapped and elderly people to various locations. Have a mobility issue, call us!

*Communication with law enforcement when necessary.

We will begin a social media campaign to locate volunteers to conduct courtesy patrolling on North and South beach. Two individuals per golf cart Mon thru Sun, 9 am to 8 pm (based on staff availability)

We will also purchase Shirts and hats to properly identify our staff and volunteers.
